Carefully remove the two screws on the outer switch plate. Unscrew the mounting screws on the switch. Gently pull out the switch from the box to identify wires first. Take a photo of the original wiring configuration for reference before disconnecting any wires.

4.3 Identifying Wires

1. The wire that causes the tester to beep is the hot (line/live) wire.

3. Mark the live/line wire with the provided label. Label other wires if necessary.

4.4 Disconnecting Circuit Wires

Turn off the main circuit breaker again to ensure safety before disconnecting any wires from the old switch.

4.5 Connecting the New Switch

Before installation, disassemble the plate and frame from the new switch. Attach wires on the Touchscreen Switch to the wires extending from the electrical box using wire nuts/connectors if necessary. Wire colors in this guide are for reference only and may not match local standards or actual terminals. Always confirm connections against the product manual. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.

Alternatively, you can complete pairing by tapping the "+" icon at the top right corner of the app's homepage, selecting "Add Accessory," and then scanning the QR code, or by finding the product in the product list.

*The device features native Matter over Wi-Fi support. To use the device with a particular Matter ecosystem, a Matter hub of that ecosystem is required.

5.2 Adding to Matter-Enabled Apps

The S100 US supports native Matter, allowing integration with various smart home platforms. To use the device with a particular Matter ecosystem (e.g., Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant), a Matter hub of that ecosystem is required.

**In Apple Home using iOS 18+, Matter devices can be added and controlled locally with iPhone only, but automations/sharing/remote access require a home hub.

5.3 Thread Border Router

The built-in Thread Border Router enables a robust mesh network, allowing low-power Thread devices to be placed further away from each other. Thread Border Router functionality is supported only in Aqara Home and Samsung SmartThings.

Control your Matter devices, Aqara Zigbee devices, lights, plugs, and automations directly from the screen. Create custom scenes like “Good Morning,” “Movie Night,” or “All Off” and activate them instantly. This consolidates smart home controls into one visual interface on the wall.

*Device/scene control and relevant card layout configuration are only available via the Aqara Home app. Ensure the Aqara Matter hub firmware is above 4.5.30 (Hub M3, M100, M200, W200 supported at launch).
