4.1 バッテリーの取り付け

1. Locate the battery compartment on both the Cable Toner and the Probe units.

3. Insert one 9V 6F22 battery into each unit, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).

4.2 Connecting the Toner

• Connect the test head cable to the Cable Toner unit.
• Depending on the cable type you are testing, use the appropriate connector (e.g., RJ11 for telephone lines, RJ45 for network cables, or alligator clips for bare wires) to connect the toner to the cable you wish to trace.
• Ensure the cable is disconnected from any active equipment and is not live.

5. 操作手順

5.1 配線のトレース

1. Connect the Cable Toner to the target cable as described in Section 4.2.
2. Turn on the Cable Toner. It will generate a tone signal onto the cable.
3. Turn on the Probe (Receiver) unit.
4. Adjust the sensitivity of the Probe using its control dial for optimal detection.
5. Move the tip of the Probe along the path of the suspected cable. The Probe will emit an audible tone and/or illuminate an LED indicator when it detects the signal from the toner.
6. Follow the strongest signal to accurately trace the cable's path.

5.2 Short Circuit and Polarity Testing

• Some models of the 200EP toner may offer additional functions like short circuit detection or polarity testing. Refer to the markings on your specific toner unit for these features.
• Typically, these functions involve connecting the toner to the cable and observing LED indicators or tone changes on the toner itself to determine circuit status or polarity.

• クリーニング： 柔らかく乾いた布で拭いてください。研磨剤入りの洗剤や溶剤は使用しないでください。
• バッテリー交換: Replace batteries when the indicator light dims or the device performance degrades. Always use fresh 9V 6F22 batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
• ストレージ： Store the kit in its provided storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
