5. セットアップ

Follow these steps to set up your VEVOR Cash Register Drawer:

  1. 配置: Position the cash drawer on a stable, flat surface near your POS system and receipt printer.
  2. プリンターに接続: Locate the RJ11/RJ12 port on the back or bottom of the cash drawer. Connect one end of the provided RJ11/RJ12 cable to this port.
  3. Connect Printer to POS: Connect the other end of the RJ11/RJ12 cable to the designated cash drawer port on your receipt printer. Ensure your receipt printer is connected to your POS system (e.g., via USB, Serial, or Ethernet) and properly configured.

6. 操作手順

The VEVOR Cash Register Drawer offers three methods for opening:

6.1. Electrical Open (via POS Printer)

This is the most common method for daily operation. When a transaction is completed and a receipt is printed from your POS system, the cash drawer will automatically open. Ensure the RJ11/RJ12 cable is securely connected between the cash drawer and the receipt printer.

6.2. Key Open

Use one of the provided keys to manually open the drawer. Insert the key into the lock cylinder on the front of the drawer and turn it to the 'Open' position. The drawer will spring open.

6.3. Manual Open (Emergency Lever)

In case of power failure or if the key is misplaced, an emergency lever is located on the bottom of the cash drawer. To open, carefully lift the cash drawer and locate the small lever. Press this lever to release the drawer latch.

7. メンテナンス

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and smooth operation of your cash drawer:

  • Drawer Not Opening Electrically:
    • Check if the RJ11/RJ12 cable is securely connected to both the cash drawer and the receipt printer.
    • Ensure the receipt printer is powered on and functioning correctly.
    • Verify that your POS software is configured to send the open command to the cash drawer.
    • Test the drawer with the key to confirm mechanical functionality.
  • Drawer Not Opening Manually with Key:
    • Ensure the key is fully inserted and turned to the correct 'Open' position.
    • Check for any obstructions preventing the drawer from sliding open.
  • Drawer Sticking or Hard to Open/Close:
    • Remove the cash tray and check for any foreign objects or debris in the drawer mechanism.
    • Clean the drawer slides and apply a small amount of silicone lubricant if necessary.
  • Bills/Coins Not Fitting Properly:
    • Ensure the bill tray is compatible with the currency being used (this model is USD compatible only).
    • Adjust coin tray dividers if they are removable and adjustable.
