3. セットアップと初回使用

- コンポーネントをクリーンにします: Before first use, wash the glass carafe, its lid, and the filter holder with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry. The removable water tank can also be cleaned this way.
- 配置: Place the coffee machine on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter. Ensure there is enough space around the machine for proper ventilation.
- 最初のすすぎサイクル: To clean the internal components and remove any manufacturing residues, perform two brewing cycles using only water. Fill the water tank to the maximum level (1.25 L), place an empty filter paper in the filter holder, and run a full brewing cycle. Discard the water and repeat once more.

4. 操作手順

- Insert Filter Paper: Swivel the filter holder out from the front of the machine. Place a new size 4 paper filter into the filter holder.

- 盛り付け: Once the brewing cycle is complete, the machine will automatically switch to a warming function. The warming plate will keep your coffee hot for approximately 40 minutes before the machine automatically shuts off for energy saving. You can remove the carafe at any time during or after brewing, thanks to the drip stop function.

Mineral deposits from water can build up over time, affecting performance and coffee taste. Descale your machine regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use (e.g., every 1-3 months).
- スケール除去溶液を準備します。 Use a commercial descaling agent specifically designed for coffee machines, following the manufacturer's instructions. Alternatively, you can use a solution of white vinegar and water (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).
- スケール除去サイクルを実行します: Pour the descaling solution into the water tank. Place an empty paper filter in the filter holder and the empty carafe on the warming plate. Start a brewing cycle.
- Pause (Optional): For heavy scale buildup, you may pause the cycle halfway through and let the solution sit in the machine for about 15-30 minutes before resuming.
- すすぎサイクル: After the descaling cycle is complete, discard the solution. Fill the water tank with fresh, clean water and run at least two full brewing cycles with only water to thoroughly rinse the machine. This removes any residual descaling agent.
