Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Keep packaging materials until you are satisfied with the product's condition and operation. Ensure all parts listed in the packing list are present.

3.2 Assembling the Work Table

  1. Attach the work table to the main unit using the provided bolts and nuts. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. If applicable, attach the table extension to the main work table.
  3. Install the longitudinal stop and miter gauge as per the diagrams in the quick start guide (not included in this manual).

  2. Open the blade covers.
  3. Carefully place the new blade around the upper and lower wheels, ensuring the teeth are pointing downwards towards the table.
  4. Adjust the blade guides so they are close to, but not touching, the blade.

3.4 Adjusting Blade Tension

Proper blade tension is crucial for accurate cuts and blade longevity. Use the tension knob located at the top of the machine to adjust the tension. The blade should be taut but not overly tight. Refer to the markings on the tension indicator for optimal settings.

  • Verify that all guards are in place and secure.
  • Check the blade for any damage or dullness. Replace if necessary.
  • Connect the machine to a suitable power outlet (230 Volts AC).

Turn on the band saw and allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning the cut.
Feed the workpiece slowly and steadily into the blade. Do not force the material. Maintain firm control of the workpiece with both hands, keeping fingers away from the blade.
Use the longitudinal stop for accurate straight cuts. Adjust the stop to the desired width and secure it firmly.
For curved cuts, guide the material slowly, allowing the blade to follow the desired curve. Avoid sharp turns that could bind or break the blade.
  5. Stopping the Cut: Once the cut is complete, turn off the machine and wait for the blade to come to a complete stop before removing the workpiece or making any adjustments.

The work table can be tilted from 0° to 45° for bevel cuts. Loosen the locking knob beneath the table, adjust to the desired angle using the angle scale, and then securely tighten the knob.

4.4 Using the Longitudinal Stop

The longitudinal stop (rip fence) is used for making consistent straight cuts. Position the stop parallel to the blade at the desired cutting width. Use the quick-release lever to lock it in place. Always ensure the stop is firmly secured before starting a cut.

  • After each use, clear sawdust and debris from the work table, blade guides, and inside the blade housing using a brush or vacuum cleaner.
  • Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage plastic parts or painted surfaces.

Replace the blade when it becomes dull, damaged, or if you need a different tooth configuration for a specific task. Follow the steps in Section 3.3 for installation.

Store the band saw in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure it is unplugged and all adjustments are secured before storage.
