This manual provides instructions for the proper use and care of your Canon Lens Hood EW-88F. This accessory is designed to prevent stray light from entering the lens, which can cause unwanted glare and lens flare in your photographs and videos. Operating the Lens Hood

The lens hood is most effective when the light source (e.g., sun, studio lights) is outside the frame but still shining towards the front of the lens. It blocks these oblique light rays, preventing flare and maintaining contrast.

Reverse Mounting for Storage

For compact storage, the EW-88F lens hood can be mounted in reverse on the lens. To do this:

1. Detach the lens hood as described above.

2. Turn the lens hood around so the wider opening faces the camera body.

3. Align the mounting grooves and push the hood onto the lens, then rotate until it locks. This position allows for easier transport but prevents lens use.
